Madeley Academy New Building
While we have been extremely fortunate in our federation with Thomas Telford School, and we have been able to upgrade and refurbish our current site to a high standard, we identified that the building is reaching the end of its design life and would not really be capable of fulfilling our future requirements.
To this end, we have begun construction of a brand new custom designed building on a new site, a short distance from our current location. The building will share the site with a Training Centre that will offer diverse practical courses from construction, to health and beauty and catering to students in addition to the main educational site.
The new site will offer cutting edge facilities to further enhance what we started in the current site. These will include:
- A Large Fitness Centre
- A Cafeteria
- A Theatre
- A full size Gymnasium
The building will benefit from the latest technology. Heating will be provided using "Ground Source" heating systems, which use the heat of the earth's core instead of fossil fuels, and the site will also contain wind turbines, to generate power for the building to minimise our impact on the environment.
